We originally installed the Pre-Vent system in July 2022, as recommended by our deep cleaning company to help combat smells and leakage from our extraction system. Our restaurant predominantly serves steak, and the local council served us with a notice of closure, pending proof that there was no leakage of grease from our extraction system.

As a business, we tried every possible course of action from sealing the system to having monthly cleans. However, with the volume of cooking, this was not enough. Our cleaning contractor advised us of a new innovative product known as PRE-VENT, which would inject our system and maintain a clean level and prevent the grease build-up within our system.

We organised a clean of our extraction system. Greg and his team installed the Pre-VENT system in August 2022. Despite our apprehension about this technology, the system has proved to be reliable and prevents the leakage from our extraction system. It also combats the smells from the cooking we do. The regular service and inspections provide us with the peace of mind that our extraction system is compliant and risk-free.

The council have inspected on five occasions and is satisfied by the results and disregarded the notice. Greg worked closely with us to ensure the dosage was correct and that the results were being maintained.

Since then, we have implemented the system into our other two Glasgow restaurants and will continue to support Greg with this innovative product.
